Impression of Dennis Stock

Dennis Stock is a fashion photographer(1928-2010) who lived in New York city, and passed away in Florida. Dennis was an American journalist and and photographer. In 1955, he met James Dean and began taking photos of James in Hollywood. He took many photos in Hawaii and Alaska. In the 1970-80’s he took many photos of color photography and landscape. By the 1990’s he went back to his modern roots of taking photos of architecture and modernism. Dennis was also really into taking photos of Jazz performances, and musicians. I will probably be taking pictures of Nate and his guitar and just people doing their work in the class rooms, just to capture them in a normal state.

Frame within a frame is supposed to show effect of framing a subject. Used to enhance the importance or perception of subject. Used to create perception of depth.

Leading Lines can be used with many differenty types of lines such as diagnol, zigzag, curvey, straight, which is used to enhance composition.

Diagonal rule is one side of the picture is divided into two, and then each half is divided into 3 parts. It creates points of interest also adds a sense of action.

My Rule of Thirds

Rule of thirds is a guideline which applies to the processn of composing visual inages such aspaintings, photographs, and designs. The image should be divided into nine equal parts by two eqqually spaced horizontal lines.
