Currently, Project AWE (Agriculture, Water and Energy and Environment) is renovating a local historic dairy to create an elementary school field trip venue with exhibits, curriculum, and hands-on activities focusing on agriculture, water, energy, and the environment. The renovations, branding and marketing, videography, historical preservation, exhibit design and construction, museum furnishing/decorating, curriculum preparations, and eventual staffing, involved in site development can provide opportunities for students and programs in every industry sector. Work-based learning projects, senior projects, community service hours, leadership opportunities, internships, research projects, even field study opportunities at the site and the surrounding nature preserve, abound. We can tailor a project to your particular program or student needs and have funding available for materials.
Thank you to all of the currently participating programs. Prior, current, and committed projects include logo design, movable interactive exhibit design, chicken coop design and construction, shed construction, sawhorse roping dummies design and construction, wooden benches design and construction, farmhouse interior design of sewing room, exhibit sign design, internships, engineering PBL, installation and maintenance of farm plots, running a poultry program, and disabled access picnic table design and construction. We would love to work with you! Contact Patti Sipula at 916-892-2211 or through email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
