Did You Know….that EGVA is a part of the Elk Grove Unified School District?

EGVA was created as an additional education option for parents and their children in response to the varying needs of students in the 21st Century.  EGVA offers students additional options and flexibility in their education.  It also allows parents to greatly influence how and what each child learns about the world.

Did You Know….that EGVA accepts students from outside of the Elk Grove Unified School District?

Any student in grades K-8 in Sacramento County – along with students in the neighboring counties of Amador, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Placer, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter and Yolo – can enroll in EGVA.

Did You Know….EGVA employs “real” teachers?

That’s right!  EGVA employs credentialed teachers through the Elk Grove Unified School District.  These teachers are highly-qualified EGUSD classroom teachers who have chosen to pursue teaching through EGVA.

Did You Know….that students can attend school at any time of day through EGVA?

EGVA coursework is available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Students in EGVA and their learning coach design their daily schedule to fit into their own lives.  Contact with EGVA teachers can be arranged to suit the needs of the family.

Did You Know…that EGVA curriculum is aligned with California standards and benchmarks?

EGVA uses curriculum provided by Connections Education, a technology-based education company that is the leader in online learning for kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Connections Education curriculum is aligned to the State of California’s standards and benchmarks.  The curriculum includes core subjects and electives, as well as a balance between skills and critical thinking.
