High School Equivalency or High School Diploma?
The GED® and HiSET® are timed tests aligned to Common Core State Standards. They test high school knowledge of Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Please contact the EGACE Academic Resource and Transitions Office at 916-793-2344 if you would like more information about the differences between earning your high school equivalency certificate or completing your high school diploma credits.
GED® Credential and Testing
The GED® credential is deemed by California law to be the equivalent of a high school diploma for the purposes of most employment and is recognized nationally. Students passing the exam will receive a credential from the California Department of Education (CDE).
EGACE is an approved Pearson VUE testing center. MyGED™ is your start-to-finish tool for the GED® program. Visit the GED.com page to get more information and to register and pay for your GED® test.

It’s another way for you to get the credentials you need to continue your education or to succeed in the workplace.
