Third Stage - Small:Large Intestine

 

Students will write their third body paragraph. Each paragraph will include a topic and concluding sentence, transitional phrases, and a sequence of events of the third stage of digestion.

  1.         The third stage of the digesstive system starts in the small intestine and ends in the large intestine.First,the bolus moves an organ wich has folds in its walls.Second,the pacreas ads some juices that digest most types of foods.Third,the liver adds up vile,that breaks down fat.Fourth,the waste moves to the large intestine.Finally,the large intestine removes undigestid waste from the body.The digestion starts in the small intestine and ends in the large intestine in the third stage.

Bile gets added from the liver to break down fat. Next, the juices mix until it’s all broken down into nutrients. Then, the folds in the wall soak up nutrients. In the folds, nutrients pass into tiny blood vessels and get carried to cells by blood, Finally, the cecum connects the small intestine and the large intestine, the colon absorbs water and minerals from the waste, the rectum stores and eliminates waste. The small and large intestine are part of the third stage of the digestive system.

Then when you eat the food it goes in your teeth then it tears it apart. Next the back teeth crush and grind the food then the tonunge swallows the food and goes in your stomach the the food goes in your small intestine the goes in your large intestine and eliminates waste

When it gets there the undigested food goes through three parts cecum, colon, and rectum. The digestion systems third stage is when the food gets broken down more and enters the large intestine.
