  1. In the selection, In Two Worlds, the lives of Yup’ik Eskimos are very different from the lives of American citizens. The Eskimos lived in a sod house, but we live in a house that could be made out of wood or brick. They only have one window, when most of us have five or six windows. Our homes are in the city, but they lived in a small village. They have windows that are made from dried seal guts, but we have some made of glass. They also have beds made of dried grass, but ours has a mattress and a couple blankets. In conclusion, our lives are very different from Yup’ik Eskimos.

  2. In the selection, In Two Worlds, the two lives of an Yupik Eskimo are very different from a life of an American citizen. Mary Ann, a Yupik Eskimo, was born outside instead of a warm, clean, and sanitary hospital. Another difference between a Yupik Eskimo and myself is that they had dried grass for the bed and I have a cotton and fluffy bed. Also, Mary Ann and the other Yupik Eskimo’s only have one window made from seal guts and I have more than one window in my house made from glass. the Yupik Eskimo’s used seal oil to make them have light and we have electricity and gas to have light in a light bulb.
They had plates and cooking pots that was carved out of wood and I have pots and plates mde from metal and glass. We both told stories about what we did in the evening. This is what happens in a Yupik Eskimos life and an American citizens life in the selection, In Two Worlds.

  3.     In the selection,In Two Worlds, the lives of Yup’ik Eskimo’s are very different from the lives of people today. The Yup’ik Eskimo’s houses have braided grass hanging on the walls and they only have one window created by dried seal guts. The windows make a lot of racket when it’s windy. But our window is made out of glass and it doesn’t make any noise. Their floor was plain, hard, and made out of dried mud.My floor is made out of wood and tile. The Eskimo’s beds are made out of dried grass and they had no blankets. While we have blankets and our beds are made out of mattress’s. When the Yup’ik Eskimo’s cook they have one kettle and a small half kerosene tank for the cooking pot. But when my mom cooks she uses stoves, ovens, and microwaves. They also used wooden plates bit i use plates made out of glass. The Yup’ik Eskimo’s didn’t have the kind of oil we have now so they used seal oil for light but it smoked a lot. In our life now we use electricity for light. In conclusion the Yup’ik Eskimo’s life and way of living is different from mine.
