  • Grade 3, Teacher Sort

This assignment is under construction.

Assignment: students will use a template of teacher names to build their own spreadsheet, sorting teachers by grade level taught. Students will access the spreadsheet using the student link shown below. Students will be prompted to make their own copy of the spreadsheet and must check-in before starting (this will be demonstrated by the teacher). Upon completion of the spreadsheet, students will use the TurnIn Tab to send the teacher a copy of their spreadsheet. Students can use the resubmit button if they make changes to their original work.

The following skills will be used:

  • Create, name, and save a spreadsheet to a folder titled Spreadsheets
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + C; Ctrl + V; Ctrl + A
  • Ribbon Menu: font type, size, text color; fill color; bold; horizontal & vertical alignment; merge cells; cell borders;
  • Tabs Menu: Data, sort range by column (A-Z); Format, alternating colors

  • Grade 5, Visualizing Westward Expansion

In this lesson, you will create a spreadsheet with rows and columns of data. The data must be entered correctly. The completed spreadsheet will be uploaded into Google Fusion Tables to create an Intensity Map. Miss Anderson will share a partially completed spreadsheet with you through Google Classroom.
