Hello CRES Families!

Four weeks of Distance Learning down, and two to go!  Once again, I think you all are doing a fabulous job of parenting, working, and teaching … I know you all didn’t sign up for this, but I appreciate, respect, and admire how everyone has taken on this responsibility and are working closely with classroom teachers to make this learning platform successful for your child.  Please make sure to connect with your child’s teacher if you need clarification or have any concerns as we finish this school year together.

This week, teachers are in classrooms (social distancing on a rotating schedule) and preparing classrooms for deep cleaning.  They will be putting student belongings in donated brand new Raley’s plastic bags with students’ names on them.  The belongings will be available for pickup based on the following schedule.  During this pickup of belongings (including prizes from the online fundraiser), we would appreciate the return of CRES library books and textbooks.  We scheduled grade levels throughout the week and during the “Grab-n-Go” mealtime so you can pick up lunch (and breakfast for the next day) in front of the school, and then pick up student belongings in front of the library in the bus loading/offloading zone.  If you are unable to pickup during that timeframe, and another family can pick yours up, you can certainly do that.  We will courtesy call you the following week to pick up belongings from the office by appointment.  Here’s the schedule:

  • Friday, 5/22/2020 from 12:15 – 1:15 pm:  Kindergarten (also dropping off their Distance Learning packets)
  • Tuesday, 5/26/2020 from 12:15 – 1:15 pm:  1st & 2nd Grades
  • Wednesday, 5/27/2020 from 12:15 – 1:15 pm:  3rd & 4th Grades
  • Thursday, 5/28/2020 from 12:15 – 1:15 pm:  5th & 6th Grades

Report Cards will be available on ParentVue (Synergy) on Friday, May 29, 2020.  No report cards will be printed or mailed this school year, but all report cards can be accessed (and printed if desired) from ParentVue.  Go to ParentVue account and find the “A+Report Card” link to click on.  If you have not yet set up your ParentVue account, please call the office so we can email you an activation code and directions (916) 682-2653), Monday-Friday, 9 am – 3 pm.
