EGUSD Celebrate Arts Education Month in March

As part of the celebration and recognition of the importance of arts in education, EGUSD will host the first ever EGUSD Arts Showcase in addition to the original Superintendent’s Art Contest, now called the EGUSD Arts Challenge!

Theme: “Arts Connect”

EGUSD Arts Showcase

Schools can participate in the EGUSD Arts Showcase by displaying their artwork throughout the month of March at the District Office.

To participate, school sites should establish an “Arts Rule! Team” (ART) and plan and select art to display on their school’s display board at the District Office.

Choices can include copies of works being submitted into the EGUSD Arts Challenge.

For 3D works, a photo of it can be used instead.

Schools will also have an opportunity to submit an up to two minute video to showcase all of the arts at their school for display during the EGUSD Showcase event night.

New Showcase Prize
The People’s Choice Award is new for this year and will go to the best School Showcase Display based on votes from people who attend the EGUSD Arts Showcase event night.

Contact Ruth Galindo at rgalindo@egusd.net for more information.
