Congratulations EGUSD! The district saved $1.3 million in energy costs, surpassing the 2010-2011 goal of $1 million! Faced with ongoing state budget cuts, and in order to save natural resources, protect the environment and set a good example for students, the Elk Grove Unified School District’s Board of Education set a goal for the district to save $1 million in 2010-2011. The Board of Education set a goal for the district to save $1.3 million in energy costs for the 2011-2012 school year.
