Day One
Well, we got off to a great start. It seems like a very good class. We got a couple of tests done and got some time on the laptops.
The only homework tonight is to get the school supplies you need from the list I gave you.

Are you ready?
Well, tomorrow is the big day. I have the room pretty close to ready. I have all of the things to do with you set and we’ll start working on those first thing tomorrow. You’ll get to meet our new principal at an assembly and hopefully get to use the computer. We have a lot of testing to do, so be ready.
Melanie Arroyo is the “Student of the Vacation”! She sent me an email. What about the rest of you?????
See all of you tomorrow at 7:50. We’ll be in Room 24.

Supply List for 2008-2009
I see in today’s paper that some of the stores are getting started with their school supply sales. So here is the list of what you will need:

| pencil sharpener (holds shavings) | 1 | |||

| binder paper | 1 pack | |||
| graph paper | 1 pack | |||
| calculator | 1 | |||
| daily planner | 1 | |||

| tissue | optional | |||

| stapler | optional | |||
The planner is really important. That’s where you will write down your homework everyday, so make sure you get a good one. You will want to get a calculator for sure, because I let you use one a lot. It can be a plain, cheap one. All you need to do is +, -, x, ÷. Make sure you get plenty of whiteboard, eraseable markers, because we use our whiteboards every day. We have no classroom pencil sharpener, so get your own that holds the shavings.

Jesse, I’m still on vacation; I have no new class yet. But rest assured, I will tell them about you.
Eden, thanks for setting Jesse straight. Also, I went to Dillon Beach. It’s north of San Francisco, and it was cool and not smokey.

I'm Back
I’m back from a few days at the beach. The weather was cool and I got a lot of sleep. Today, I’m working on my bike and fixing my shed in the backyard.
