Paris

The computer at our Paris hotel is not as available as the one at the hostel, so my posts are less frequent. Good job on the emails Gabby! Well finally the rain has stopped. The first 3 days were off and on rain and cold. Today some sun and clouds but no rain. We are getting ready to go to the Eiffel Tower. Weve been waiting for good weather and this is our last chance. Weve eaten chocolate snails for breakfst and chocolate cake for lunch. Saw the Mona Lisa and soVan Goghs and Monets. Off to London in the morning. Pictures next week. Travis, are you reading this? I saw a Lamborghini go down the street yesterday.

Paris

Blogger is all in French, so its a little harder. Weve been doing our best to stay out of the rain here in Paris. We cut in line at Notre Dame when it started to pour and listened to the thunder while inside. We hid under the Arc de Triumphe and by the tine we got to the top, it had stopped. So we are making due.

Rome on Friday

We saw part of THE manger today, then went to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, and saw where the popes are buried. We’ve survived a whole week on pizza, paninis and gelato. We both have blisters, but we are resting now, then going out for a night walk. Everybody needs to send Casey some emails, especially Annette.

Extra points for anyone from David Reese who sends Casey an email. Send it to caseyferreirae@sbcglobal.net. I know you don’t need the points, but do it anyway.

Rome

Today we saw ancient Rome: the Forum and the Colosseum. We walked where Caesar walked, and saw where his body was burned. We walked thru Travestere, shopped at Gucci and Dolce/Gabana and were on our feet for 12 hours.

Now its time for bed. Also, I’m taking donations to pay for Casey’s new addiction: Gelato!

Europe Part I

Here’s the quick scoop. Siena was great and the Palio was an amazing experience. The horse from our neighborhood won. David was amazing in Florence. Our bus was an hour later than planned to Rome, so we missed our chance with the pope, but oh well. Walked all over Rome, saw St. Peter’s and took too many pictures of Casey.
