I’ve never put my kids pictures here for you to see. So here they are: Casey, Ashley, and Trevor

I read and graded everyone’s blog. I’m going to enter them into the grade book, then enter the AR grades, then post them all on the Internet.
Most of you haven’t written in your blog. Do some writing so I’ll know what you’re up to. (Gaby, I saw yours!)

Thanks to everyone who posted comments. I’m enjoying vacation. I’ve been working on my house, putting in new baseboards and painting. I’ll have the baseboards done by Friday.
Tomorrow I have to go to a workshop about service learning. I have a great idea for a class project for this year.
Has anybody gone in to take an AR test? If you do, let me know about it.
I haven’t updated the grades yet. I post a note here when I do.

Today is track-change day and we are going off. I will update the grades next week and you can check them and see how you are doing. If you haven’t turned in Sly Park money, raise some over the break.
Students must read EVERY day of vacation. You can drop by school and take tests during vacation.
Have fun, read, write in your blog, check out my blog, leave me comments, and I will see you again on September 18.

Read tonight for 45 minutes in your AR book, and re-read “Top of the World”
No math tonight
Library tomorrow, and a soccer match vs. Mr. Lapachet’s class
I rode 28 miles on my bike yesterday, from Watt Ave across the Yolo Causeway, but I didn’t have time to go all the way to Davis. I’ll do that on my vacation.
Vacation starts Friday afternoon!

I have figured out how to post gardes on the Internet. Students and parents can check grades using the student’s ID number. I will send home a instruction sheet this week. This is the last week before vacation begins, but we will be working hard until the very end. We will have art this week with a lesson on Victor Vasarely, the father of Op-Art.

The weekend is here, but there is still work to do. AR goals are due by next Friday, so make sure you do a lot of reading this weekend. Read every day!
Math 2.7 Pg 69 6-17, wb
We will review the social studies test Monday and do the vocabulary crossword puzzle.
I’m going to soccer again this weekend. Ashley’s team were champions last week and she had 5 assists, but this weekend she is a guest player for another team. I’ll let you know how it goes……
