Cats VS. Dogs

In the fight between the cats and dogs, the dog is the one to be crowned and brought up to the stage. Friends and families who are looking for pets have probably wondered whether they should get a cat or dog. Which is more friendly? Which is the better of the two?

Dogs are the better choice of the two because of three different reasons. One of the three reasons are they are fun and loyal. You could bring them on walks, play catch, and lots more. Second reason is they have big brains. A normal dog can learn up to 165 words in all. Last and not least, they are hard workers. They help with many things including: herding sheep and cows, guide the blind, hunt criminals, detect termites, smell for gas leaks, and the most important, smell cancer.

Cats are one of the worst choices you could get for a pet. They scratch you, climb on your fences, are lazy, and learn a tiny limited amount of words. When cats are bored an need entertainment , they like to scratch at stuff and if mad scratches at you. If you have a cat, it is smarter to put it inside than out because they can climb or find a way to get through. Cats sleep away most of the day on your couches and may be a trouble when you are trying to clean or tidy up your house. A average cat brain can only learn about 35 words in all.

Dogs are fun, cuddly, helpful, smart, and can be protective. Cats are boring, dull, too independent, and lazy. Get a dog and I promise, you won’t regret it!

Mother’s Day

On Mother’s Day, I got my mom some more make-up stuff. I also made her a card. Some people prefer to buy cards but in my opinion, cards that are made for someone are more special that the cards that are bought because you can’t buy a card that is made by the heart of those you love. For Mother’s Day, our whole family went to a restaurant. We went on Saturday because some people had to go to work on Sunday. I also went to Google Translate and interpreted ” Happy Mother’s Day! I love you!” to Chinese for my grandma.

My creativity and being good at art makes me who I am. My aunt always says that I have a lot of creativity and when she wants to some kind of art project, she always asks me to help. I also like art and I get praised for my work by my cousins sometimes. Another thing that makes me me is my playfulness. I am constantly playing around with people when I get bored. I would poke them until they would walk away and I would mess with another person. I always find a way to mess with stuff and have fun at the same time and if there isn’t… There are people to poke. Besides my constant playing, good at art talent, and creativity, I don’t think there is anything else that makes me me.

I am good at collecting items. I love to collect items. When I was little, I collected these toys called Little Pet Shops. After a while I grew bored of it and decided to collect other items. I have a collection of LEGO figures, lead pencils, and TY Toys. In all, I have about 30 LEGO figures, 30-50 lead pencils, and 10-20 TY Toys in all. I am also good at riding my bike.

I think Mr. Penermon’s letter was encouraging and friendly. It encouraged me to do my very best on the CST and it gave me confidence that I will do good.

I want to do well on the CST because I want to be in good classes in middle school. The CST is not just a big test this year. It is a test used to tell the teachers and principal at out middle school which classes we get. I also want to do well because I don’t want to fail and get yelled at. So I’m going to try my best and make sure I get the best score that I can get. I will stay on task and block out the people that try to disturb me.

King Midas was a man who once wanted all gold in the world. He only wanted to see and touch gold all day. He would go into a dungeon, located under the castle, and look at all his gold. He only loved his daughter, Marygold, more than his gold. One day, while in his dungeon, a stranger granted his one wish, to have everything he touches turn to gold. King Midas wakes up the next morning to find that his wish had come true. His regrets come slowly to him when he can’t put on his now gold glasses, turns a handkerchief that Marygold made him gold, can’t eat or drink anything without turning it into gold, and turns  his own loving daughter into a golden statue. The stranger comes and takes back the golden touch when King Midas realizes that gold isn’t everything. The stranger tells him to go to River Pactolus and water whatever he wants to turn back to  normal with the river water.

Vacation Time

During vacation, not much happened during vacation. The only thing that really happened was a lot of fun shopping time and a lot of boring bubbling in answers for the scan tron. I bought new shirts and pants from Macy’s. I went to Rutter with Stevin, Emily, Christian, Gabriel, Colin, Leonardo, and Daryn in a single file line. I also went to Strikes.

Volume – how much will fit inside something

Volume of a rectangular prism – multiply by all sides

Volume of a triangular prism – base x height/2

Volume of a cylinder – (πr2) height

It is important for you to know volume because if you wanted to buy a box, you would want to know if your what you are going to put inside the box fits.

Area of a triangle – base x height/2

Area of rectangle – length x width

Perimeter – add all sides

My New Thoughts

I still have the same thoughts about James Rutter but another thing I look forward to is that there is no recess there. I don’t like recess at all and really don’t care if I have none. I do like having inside recess though because you could do whatever you want inside, instead of outside in the cold. There are more things to do when you are inside. When I owe recess or loose recess because I got in trouble, I will not like it that way because I am not allowed to go to recess for I got in trouble and that is not good at all.
