Hi Gail,

Where is the "PSA Challenge page" to which you referred in your post? I'd like my students to participate in the Digital Citizenship PSA contest. And what's the deadline? I don't see any dates.

They have the most at stake. Their generation is the first to be born into a digital, connected world, and they will have the biggest hand in shaping its contours. I hope we can all affirm that, while the Internet has changed how we interact, it has not fundamentally changed how we should treat one another.”

The law, known as the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights, is considered the “toughest legislation against bullying in the nation,” and demands that all public schools adopt comprehensive anti-bullying policies, increase staff training and adhere to tight deadlines for reporting episodes.

We enjoy all the wonderful technical parts of our lives and I continually marvel at the fact that we have all of these conveniences. They help us keep up with our children and know where they are at all time. It seems now they are a two edged sword and are revealing the position of our children to others also. We need to be talking to the manufacturers of these phones for protection against these settings. These phones and the pictures they take are so much a part of our children's lives now that we must take measures to protect them. They are not going to give them up.

After 23 years in juvenile court, I believe that teenagers often learn from the experiences of their peers, not just from being lectured by those in authority. Consequently, “Teen Cyberbullying Investigated” was published in January, 2010.

Endorsed by Dr. Phil ["Bullied to Death"], “Teen Cyberbullying Investigated” presents real cases of teens in trouble over their online and cell phone activities. Civil & criminal sanctions have been imposed on teens over their emails, blogs, text messages, Facebook and YouTube entries and more. TCI is interactive and promotes education & awareness so that our youth will begin to “Think B4 U Click.”

Thanks for looking at “Teen Cyberbullying Investigated” on http://www.freespirit.com [publisher] or on http://www.askthejudge.info [a free website for & about teens and the law].

Regards, -Judge Tom

Thank you for sharing these resources. I'm so impressed with the way your school district is supporting students and teachers learning about social networking. I look forward to sharing your blog with my colleagues.

This is very informative. I would like to say that parental controls are useful not only for windows and mac machines but also for smart phones. Phones such as the Android, Blackberry and iPhones are very controllable from a parents perspective.
This site - cell phone spy software has a lot of information on all links of parental controls both free and paid versions.
